Green Summit

Who we help

Tribal Nations & Tribal Organizations

Build stronger projects. Keep expertise in the community.

Green Summit is a Cherokee-TERO certified consulting partner. We help Tribal Nations and Tribal organizations turn housing, facility, energy and workforce priorities into well-built, well-documented projects — inside your governance and approval process, not around it. Tell us what your Nation wants to accomplish, and we bring the engineering, incentive, verification and training work together around it.

Where would you like to start?

Most Nations come to us with one priority in front of the others. Choose yours and we will show you the work that fits — and nothing else.

Solutions

Designer incentives & project administration

Turn a tax provision your Nation cannot use into an incentive your Nation controls. A Tribal Nation pays no federal income tax — but on an eligible Tribal building, the Section 179D deduction can be allocated to the designers of its energy-efficient systems, and the Nation decides whether that happens. We help you evaluate designer requests, run an orderly approval process and keep the records that support each decision. Elective (direct) pay for qualifying energy credits is a separate route, and we can evaluate it alongside.

Energy planning & building performance

Know your buildings before you invest in them. Audits, benchmarking and energy modeling show where facilities are losing value. Commissioning and measurement confirm the fix worked. Solar and storage feasibility tells you what is worth building next.

Federally funded projects & Cherokee-TERO partnerships

Team with a certified technical partner. We build scoped teaming arrangements for energy demonstrations, research delivery and procurement opportunities — the same kind of work we are doing today as technical subcontractor to the University of Central Florida on the U.S. Department of Energy–funded PV-GEMS project.

Housing & green building consulting

Deliver housing that performs for the people who live in it. We coordinate utility allowances, certifications and building performance for new construction and rehabilitation, and connect green-building decisions with your decarbonization goals. Financing tools such as C-PACE are evaluated only where land status, ownership and program rules allow.

Program delivery & quality assurance

Run community energy and rebate programs with confidence. We define the technical procedures, verify the work in the field and give the people delivering the program a place to get technical questions answered.

Workforce development & career pathways

Keep the expertise in the community. We connect practical building-science training with HERS Rater and Rating Field Inspector pathways, mentorship on live projects, and solar, battery and thermal-storage apprenticeships now in development.

Our process

  1. Listen and define the priorities. We meet with the designated housing, energy, workforce and administrative leaders and start from the Nation's goals, not a service menu.
  2. Build a shared plan. Together we identify the buildings, delivery roles, funding conditions, local training goals and required approvals.
  3. Deliver and transfer knowledge. Technical work is paired with participation, mentoring and hands-on experience for community members.
  4. Verify and sustain. We document results, close open items and identify the capability your team needs for the next project.

What your Nation gains

  • Technical support that follows Tribal priorities and Tribal decision-making.
  • Clean, defensible records for buildings, incentives and programs.
  • Project-connected learning that strengthens local capability with every project.

Why Green Summit

Green Summit is a Cherokee-TERO certified consulting partner delivering end-to-end compliance solutions: licensed engineering, incentive administration, field verification and workforce development in one coordinated team. Founded in 2014, we bring licensed engineers, in-house CPAs and building-science specialists to every engagement, and we build the documentation to be audit-ready from day one.

We work alongside Tribal leadership, housing teams and enterprises in a way that respects sovereignty, local priorities and the Nation's own approval and procurement processes. HERS and RFI pathways include role-specific learning and evaluation; solar, battery and thermal-storage apprenticeships are in development.
