C-PACE Advisory & Financing Support
Find out whether C-PACE belongs in the project plan before you build the plan around it.
Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy financing is repaid through an assessment on the property rather than a conventional loan payment, which is why it fits some projects well and why lien priority, lender consent and transfer provisions deserve the same scrutiny as the rate. Green Summit helps owners and development teams evaluate whether C-PACE belongs in the project plan at all, then supports eligibility screening, technical documentation and coordination with program administrators, capital providers and your own advisors. We are a licensed engineering firm with in-house CPAs, founded in 2014, and our role is the technical and advisory record. We are never the lender, and we never promise approval, rates or loan terms.

Who this is for
Owners, developers, design teams, advisors, housing providers, public institutions, Tribal Nations, raters and manufacturers considering C-PACE for an improvement project on a property that may qualify.
What we do
- Screen the opportunity. We review location, ownership, property type, the proposed measures and whether an active C-PACE program actually covers the property.
- Build the technical package. We coordinate the energy analysis, eligible-cost documentation, project scope, savings assumptions and the professional certifications the program requires.
- Support the financing conversation. We help organize the questions, records and conditions the administrator and capital provider will raise, including existing-debt consent and closeout needs.
Our process
- Review the project and the local program before anyone assumes the property is suitable.
- Coordinate the technical evidence and compare the proposed financing terms alongside your own advisors.
- Support the process through completion. We respond to information requests and assemble the completion documentation the financing requires.
Benefits
- Earlier understanding of eligibility and transaction dependencies, before they surprise the schedule.
- A clearer technical record for capital-provider review.
- Coordination of green-building, carbon, incentive and capital-planning decisions in one place.
Why Green Summit
We connect engineering and building-performance work with the information a financing team needs, and because the same firm performs the audits, the energy modeling and the certification strategy, the technical package is built from work we can stand behind. Green Summit is a licensed engineering firm with in-house CPAs, founded in 2014 as a consulting partner delivering end-to-end compliance solutions in building performance and incentives, with documentation built to be audit-ready from day one.
Green Summit is not the lender. We never promise approval, rates or loan terms, and any regulated brokerage or placement activity requires a separately authorized arrangement. What we promise is a technical record the capital provider can review and an honest early answer on whether the property and the program fit.
Frequently asked questions
What is C-PACE?
Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy is a financing mechanism, available only where a state and local program has established it, that funds qualifying building improvements and is repaid through an assessment on the property. Because the obligation attaches to the property rather than to a conventional loan, repayment, lien and transfer provisions matter as much as the rate, and eligibility depends on the local program, the property, the measures, the costs and the financing conditions.
Is C-PACE a rebate or grant?
No. C-PACE is financing repaid through a property assessment under the state and local program that applies. Repayment, lien and transfer provisions require careful review with your legal and financial advisors before you rely on it.
Does a green-building certification automatically qualify a project?
No. Eligibility depends on the local program, the property, the measures, the costs and the financing conditions. A certification may be relevant evidence, and we will say when it helps, but it never replaces those requirements.
Do existing lenders need to consent?
Mortgage-holder consent is an important requirement in many C-PACE programs and transactions. You and your advisors should review the debt documents, lien priority and the specific consent process before proceeding, and we raise the question at screening so it is never discovered at closing.
Can government, Tribal or affordable-housing properties use C-PACE?
Eligibility is not universal. Tax-assessability, land and ownership status, local authority, existing financing and housing restrictions must all be reviewed. Sovereign or trust land and publicly owned property should never be assumed eligible, and we will tell you early when a property is unlikely to qualify.
What does Green Summit do versus the capital provider?
We provide the advisory and technical documentation support defined in your engagement. The capital provider and the program administrator evaluate and approve the financing, and your legal and tax professionals advise on the transaction terms and their consequences. We keep those roles distinct throughout.
Let's find out whether C-PACE fits your project before you plan around it.
Tell us the property and its location, the improvements you are considering, the project's stage and whether existing debt sits on the property.
