Who we help
Manufacturers & Technology Companies
Connect research, facility performance and financial opportunity.
A manufacturer's technical question rarely stays in one department. The same product test can be a research result, a facility decision and a tax position — and each one needs its own kind of evidence. Green Summit supports manufacturers, energy-technology developers, software and life-science companies with engineering-backed incentive studies, applied research and building-performance analysis, and we connect your technical question to a defined study, field demonstration or facility-improvement scope. Licensed engineers and in-house CPAs work in the same firm, so the evidence is built once and built to hold.
- Licensed engineering firm
- In-house CPAs
- Founded 2014
- Engineered substantiation, not estimates
Where would you like to start?
Start with the decision the evidence has to support. Choose the priority in front of you and we will show you the work that fits — and nothing else.
Solutions
Applied research & field demonstrations
Turn a technical question into an instrumented, documented work package. We plan the deployment, install the monitoring and data logging, measure and verify the results, and report them in a form your engineers, your funders and your commercialization team can use — with deployment and reporting responsibilities defined before the first sensor goes in. For federally funded work we serve as a technical partner, the role we hold today as technical subcontractor to the University of Central Florida on the U.S. Department of Energy–funded PV-GEMS project.

- Measurement & Verification
Facilities, modeling & commissioning
Understand what your facilities use before you decide what to change. Audits and benchmarking show where the energy goes; modeling and code compliance evaluate the system options; commissioning verifies that the operating sequences you specified are the ones actually running — across one plant or a portfolio, with capital planning and certification goals tied in. Where a state or city standard governs the building — California Title 24, New York City's Local Law 97, Washington's Clean Buildings Performance Standard — we plan compliance into the same work.

R&D incentives & fixed assets
Most tax incentive studies are written by accountants. Ours are written by engineers and reviewed by CPAs. We document the technical activities behind an R&D credit study — domestic R&D expensing was fully restored under federal legislation enacted in July 2025, with no more forced amortization — and the facility costs behind cost segregation, fixed-asset, disposition and repair-versus-capitalization work, where 100% bonus depreciation was permanently restored under the same legislation. Energy incentives on a building you own belong in the same file, from Section 179D (we screen construction-start dates first, because under federal legislation enacted in July 2025 the deduction winds down for property whose construction begins after June 30, 2026) to investment credits and utility rebates; your advisors make the filing decisions, and we never present a deduction as a guaranteed cash return.

Technical partnering & workforce development
Some opportunities need a defined technical partner, and some need trained people. We build teaming arrangements with clear roles — including Cherokee-TERO certified teaming where a procurement recognizes it — and we train the people who will evaluate, install or operate the systems, from your own staff to the contractors and technicians who handle the product in the field.
Technical verification & energy systems
Get an independent engineering opinion on evidence that matters — a supplier's claim, a field installation, a proposed energy system. We review documentation, inspect installations and verify solar performance, and we evaluate whether solar, battery and thermal storage, microgrids or EV charging make sense for your site before you commit capital. New Jersey facilities can pair that evaluation with the state's incentive programs.

Our process
- Define the business and technical question. We separate the research objective, the facility need and the incentive issue before choosing any work, because each one needs different evidence.
- Plan the evidence. Together we set the technical scope, the measurements, data rights, review roles and deliverables — and write them down at the start.
- Execute and evaluate. We coordinate modeling, field work, instrumentation or technical interviews as the engagement authorizes, and we report what the data shows rather than what anyone hoped it would show.
- Make the findings usable. You receive records built for the decision at hand: engineering choices, program reporting, commercialization planning or your tax advisor's review.
What your company gains
- A clearer connection between technical activity and usable evidence.
- Building and energy expertise that complements your product or research team rather than duplicating it.
- Defined responsibilities for data, validation and incentive substantiation — set at the beginning, not negotiated at the end.
Why Green Summit
Green Summit is a consulting partner delivering end-to-end compliance solutions in specialty tax credits and incentives, building performance and advisory services. Founded in 2014, we combine a licensed engineering firm with in-house CPAs, so the engineers who instrument a demonstration or audit a plant are colleagues of the tax professionals who review the incentive study — and every record is built to be audit-ready from day one.
We bring building science, instrumentation, field verification and engineering-backed incentive studies into the same conversation without treating them as the same service. Our research-delivery role is defined by the project and the agreement, with data, validation and reporting responsibilities established at the beginning.
