Workforce development & career pathways
Keep the expertise in the community.
Every project a Nation builds is also a chance to develop the people who will maintain, verify and lead the next one. Green Summit connects practical building-science training with HERS Rater and Rating Field Inspector pathways, mentorship on live projects and technical education shaped for your teams; solar, battery and thermal-storage apprenticeships are in development. Training follows the Nation's priorities and the housing, facility and energy work the community is preparing to undertake.

What we offer Tribal Nations and Tribal organizations
HERS Rater Certification Pathway
For community members working toward the HERS Rater role, we connect the education, examinations, mentoring, field practice and provider requirements into a plan matched to each candidate's starting point.
Rating Field Inspector Development
Develop the field skills that reliable ratings depend on, through practical instruction, mentoring and role-specific evaluation focused on the quality of the observations, tests and records the rater relies on.
Solar, Battery & Thermal Storage Apprenticeship Development
Apprenticeship pathways in solar photovoltaics, battery systems and thermal energy storage are in development. We are seeking conversations with Tribal Nations, employers, colleges and workforce partners to connect technical instruction with meaningful supervised work.
Technical Training & Continuing Education
Practical training for the work your people actually perform: building science, field testing, energy modeling, quality assurance and program delivery, shaped for the raters, auditors, contractors, designers, owners or program teams in your community.
Tribal Energy Workforce Development
Build the skills and keep the expertise in the community. We work with Tribal Nations, housing organizations, colleges and workforce partners to develop project-connected energy training tied to the housing, facilities and energy work the community is preparing to undertake.
How we work with your team
Learn on the Nation's own projects.
Training pairs with live housing, facility and energy work, so community members gain hands-on experience while the project moves forward.
The Nation sets the goals.
Your designated leaders choose the priorities, participants and partners; we bring the pathways, the instruction and the mentoring, inside the Nation's own approval and procurement processes.
Evaluate by role, not by seat time.
HERS Rater and Rating Field Inspector pathways include role-specific learning and evaluation, so each person is measured against the work the role requires.
