Rebates & ownership-specific incentives
The right incentive depends on who owns the building. Start there.
Ownership decides the route. A taxable owner can claim a deduction such as Section 179D; a housing authority or nonprofit that cannot use a deduction can allocate it to the designers, and may qualify for elective pay on certain credits; HOMES and HEEHRA are rebate programs with their own rules. Green Summit evaluates each pathway against your property, your ownership and the governing rules.

What we offer affordable housing & housing authorities
Designer Allocation Support for Public & Tax-Exempt Owners
If your housing authority or nonprofit owns the building, you may allocate Section 179D to eligible designers. We help you review, document and decide; the allocation is never a cash benefit to the owner.
Elective Pay / Direct Pay Support
For housing authorities and other eligible tax-exempt owners, we build the technical record behind a potential elective payment; it is not a general grant, and the organization, project and credit must qualify.
HEEHRA Project Support
Check the requirements before committing to the equipment. A qualifying product label does not establish eligibility, so we screen the pathway and review the equipment first.
HOMES Project Support
Connect the whole-building plan to the rebate requirements: assessments, energy analysis, measure coordination and technical documentation under the program's multifamily requirements, not a single-family method.
Incentive & Utility Rebate Strategy
Find the programs that fit the property, not the other way around. We identify and sequence federal, state, local and utility incentives around the building's actual needs.
New Jersey Energy Programs & Incentive Support
Own or build housing in New Jersey? We help you tell state programs, utility offerings, required reporting and legacy or prelaunch pathways apart, then define the technical support each needs.
New Jersey M-RISE Project Readiness
M-RISE is New Jersey's multifamily home energy rebate initiative, in prelaunch at our last review with launch and final eligibility not assumed; we prepare your information for a readiness discussion, and eligibility and enrollment questions go to the designated administrator.
Section 48E Clean Electricity Investment Credit Support
Housing authorities and nonprofit owners can elect direct payment of the clean electricity investment credit for qualifying solar and storage; we document the facility, its cost and its dates so the registration and the claim rest on the same record.
Section 179D for Building Owners
For taxable owners of qualifying multifamily and commercial buildings with efficient HVAC, lighting or envelope systems, we screen the dates first, then coordinate engineering analysis and certification with your tax advisors.
How we work with your team
Screen ownership and dates first.
Who owns the property, when construction began and which program is open decide which routes are worth pursuing.
Coordinate with your CPA and the program.
We deliver engineering analysis and documentation; your advisors make the filing decision, and the administrator decides eligibility and payment.
Never count a benefit before it is earned.
We never present a deduction, allocation or rebate as guaranteed cash; we are not the program administrator.
Why Green Summit
Most tax incentive studies are written by accountants. Ours are written by engineers and reviewed by CPAs. Green Summit, founded in 2014, combines a licensed engineering firm with in-house tax professionals, so the team that evaluates your building documents the benefits it qualifies for, audit-ready from day one.
Let's find the incentives your ownership can actually use.
Tell us the property location, who owns it, its stage and what you plan to install.
