New Jersey M-RISE Project Readiness

Prepare your multifamily project without getting ahead of program approval.

M-RISE is New Jersey's multifamily home energy rebate initiative. At our September 22, 2026 review the state described prelaunch and interest forms, and the program site indicated that the application portal was coming soon, which means readiness, not enrollment, is the work an owner can do today. Green Summit helps multifamily owners organize building, energy and proposed-improvement information for a program-readiness discussion, while directing official eligibility and enrollment questions to the designated administrator. We are a licensed engineering firm and a consulting partner delivering end-to-end compliance solutions, and we never assume eligibility or an application launch.

Who this page is for

Owners and managers of New Jersey multifamily properties, including affordable-housing owners and housing authorities, who expect to pursue M-RISE once it opens and want the property record ready when it does.

What we do

  • Compile the property record. We assemble property, unit, system and project-stage information for the official interest process.
  • Review the likely technical work. We look at potential assessment, modeling and electrification work without assuming final eligibility.
  • Define what the program does not cover. We identify the technical assistance the program provides and define only the complementary support that does not duplicate its free assistance.

Our process

  1. Verify the program, the project and the parties. We check the program's current status and terms, the property's stage and who is responsible for each role, including the designated administrator.
  2. Define the additional technical work. We identify what the program provides and define only the work that remains, so nothing is duplicated.
  3. Coordinate records, analysis and follow-up. We keep you and the program team working from the same records as the program moves from interest to application.

Benefits

  • A clear view of how M-RISE, once it opens, could fit your property.
  • A defined technical scope with accountable responsibilities.
  • A property record organized for the interest process and for the decisions that follow it.

Why Green Summit

Green Summit combines building analysis, engineering coordination and field verification with a working understanding of what you want the property to accomplish for its residents. Founded in 2014, we are a licensed engineering firm, and we build every record to be audit-ready from day one.

We are an independent consulting firm, not the state, not the utility and not automatically an approved program delivery contractor, and we will tell you when the program itself offers free help you should use first.

Frequently asked questions

What is M-RISE?

M-RISE is New Jersey's multifamily home energy rebate initiative, the multifamily counterpart to the state's home energy rebate pathways. At review it was in prelaunch, with interest forms available and an application portal described as coming soon, so its final eligibility and participation requirements were not yet set.

Is M-RISE fully open for applications?

At the September 22, 2026 review, the state described prelaunch and interest forms, and the program site indicated the application portal was coming soon. Check final launch and participation requirements with the program before you plan around them.

Who administers M-RISE?

New Jersey identifies Resource Smart as the implementation and administration contractor. Green Summit does not hold that role, and nothing on this page implies that we do.

How does your work fit alongside program-provided assistance?

We first identify the technical assistance already available through the program. Any separately contracted Green Summit work fills a defined additional need and avoids duplicating covered assistance, and we coordinate it with the program team.

What determines the Green Summit engagement?

The project's actual technical need, the roles the program permits and any professional qualifications the work requires. We identify deliverables and fees before work starts, and we never present funding approval as guaranteed.

How current is the information on this page?

Program information was reviewed on September 22, 2026. Confirm current availability, deadlines, approved providers and requirements with the official program before committing to work.

Let's talk about your multifamily property's readiness.

Tell us the property, its unit count and systems as you know them, and whether you have submitted an interest form.
