New Jersey Home Energy Rebate Readiness
Separate the program pathway from the improvement you want to make.
New Jersey's home energy rebate information points to two distinct pathways: a savings-based pathway connected to HOMES and an electrification-measure pathway connected to HEEHRA, each with its own technical and eligibility requirements. The names are not interchangeable, and the state's implementation adds procedures of its own. Green Summit helps housing and delivery teams prepare the technical information each pathway needs while the administrator confirms the current program launch, eligibility and approved participation process. We are a licensed engineering firm and a consulting partner delivering end-to-end compliance solutions, and we never get ahead of program approval.

Who this page is for
Housing and delivery teams preparing New Jersey residential projects for the state's home energy rebate pathways: the owners and organizations that serve residents, and the teams that will carry out the work.
What we do
- Identify the project and its record. We document the proposed housing project, its measures, its metering and the energy records available to support it.
- Separate the pathways. We keep HOMES-related savings analysis distinct from electrification-measure requirements, so each package meets the rules of the pathway it is entering.
- Coordinate readiness with the administrator. We organize documentation and verification roles with the official administrator, and we direct eligibility and enrollment questions there.
Our process
- Verify the program, the project and the parties. We check the current launch status and terms of each pathway, the project's stage and who is responsible for each role.
- Define the additional technical work. We identify what the program provides and define only the work that remains, so nothing is duplicated.
- Coordinate records, analysis and follow-up. We keep you and the program administrator working from the same records as the project moves toward participation.
Benefits
- A clear view of which pathway, if any, fits the proposed improvement.
- A defined technical scope with accountable responsibilities.
- Records organized so the project is ready when the program opens, not scrambling after it does.
Why Green Summit
Green Summit combines building analysis, engineering coordination and field verification with a working understanding of what you want the housing to accomplish for the people who live in it. Founded in 2014, we are a licensed engineering firm, and we build every record to be audit-ready from day one.
We are an independent consulting firm, not the state, not the utility and not automatically an approved program delivery contractor, and we will tell you when the program itself offers free help you should use first.
Frequently asked questions
What are New Jersey's home energy rebate pathways?
They are the state's program-specific routes for residential energy improvements: a savings-based pathway connected to HOMES, an electrification-measure pathway connected to HEEHRA and, for multifamily properties, the M-RISE initiative. Each has its own technical and eligibility requirements, the state's implementation adds procedures of its own, and M-RISE was in prelaunch at review.
Are HOMES and HEEHRA interchangeable?
No. Their technical and eligibility requirements differ, and state implementation adds program-specific procedures. We review the actual pathway rather than treating the names as synonyms.
Can we promise residents a rebate before approval?
No. The administrator must confirm final eligibility, reservation, contractor and project requirements before anyone makes a commitment, and we never present a rebate as certain before then.
Is solar automatically included in these home rebates?
No. These pathways are not general solar incentives and should never be presented that way. Other distributed-energy funding opportunities require a separate review.
What determines the Green Summit engagement?
The project's actual technical need, the roles the program permits and any professional qualifications the work requires. We identify deliverables and fees before work starts, and we never present funding approval as guaranteed.
