Nationwide Builder & Rater Quality Assurance

One clear QA framework across every community and every rating team you work with.

A builder working in several markets usually works with several rating companies, each under its own RESNET Rating Provider, each with its own habits. Every one of those providers keeps its mandatory QA and registration authority; what the builder lacks is a single view of how the work compares across communities. Green Summit gives you that view: we help builders establish a consistent approach to rating-related quality across projects and markets, aligning documentation, testing expectations, technical review and corrective-action follow-up, so recurring issues become visible and get fixed. We hold RESNET Rating Provider No. 1998-221 ourselves, which is why we are careful about where builder oversight ends and provider responsibility begins.

Who this is for

Production builders and developers with communities in more than one market who want the same technical standard, the same evidence and the same follow-through from every rating team they use.

What we do

  • Set program-wide expectations. We define common builder requirements, documentation standards and communication responsibilities that every rating team works to.
  • Coordinate raters and providers. We map your existing rating companies and their providers, then settle the review and data-sharing arrangement with each of them, in writing.
  • Oversee files and field work. We perform authorized technical reviews and observations to identify inconsistent methods or incomplete evidence before they become a pattern.
  • Review trends and drive improvement. We track recurring findings, coordinate correction with the responsible parties and direct training to where it is needed.

Our process

  1. Map the portfolio. We identify your communities, rating teams, providers, the standards in play and the pain points you already know about.
  2. Set the QA plan. Together we settle role boundaries, how reviews are selected, evidence access and the escalation path.
  3. Review and resolve. We document findings and coordinate action with the rater, the provider or the trade responsible for the fix.
  4. Improve consistency. We review trends with builder leadership and adjust procedures or training on the evidence.

What you receive

A written QA framework for your portfolio, with the quality protocols, findings, escalation records and corrective-action tracking it generates, and periodic trend reports that compare communities and rating teams on the same basis. We define in advance the evidence and the decisions each report should support, so your leadership reads a trend, not a stack of isolated site reports.

Benefits

  • A more consistent technical process across markets, whoever performs the rating.
  • Visibility into recurring issues rather than isolated reports, so a repeat problem is treated as a process problem.
  • Clear responsibility for corrections and follow-through, with records that show the loop was closed.

Why Green Summit

Green Summit is a consulting partner delivering end-to-end compliance solutions in building performance. We combine licensed engineering and Quality Assurance Designee (QAD) experience with our own RESNET Rating Providership, so we understand both field practice and provider responsibilities from the inside. Founded in 2014, we build national coordination from qualified personnel and project-specific arrangements, and we never claim that every RESNET rater belongs to our network.

Consistent QA does not mean identical ratings or guaranteed compliance, and we never present it that way. For raters under other providers, this service supplements the builder oversight we agree together; their responsible provider retains mandatory RESNET QA and registration authority unless an approved transfer occurs. Coverage and capacity are confirmed market by market.

Frequently asked questions

What is builder and rater quality assurance?

It is a builder-requested framework that applies one set of documentation standards, testing expectations, technical review and corrective-action follow-up across every community and rating team in a portfolio. It sits alongside the mandatory quality assurance each rater's RESNET Rating Provider performs; it never replaces it. The builder gains a consistent process and a view of recurring issues across markets.

Can you work with the raters our builders already use?

Yes, when access and responsibilities are settled with the builder, the raters and their providers. The goal is consistent procedures, evidence and feedback, and we never silently replace an existing professional obligation to get there.

Does this replace mandatory RESNET provider QA?

No. Builder-requested consistency oversight is separate from the mandatory provider role, and any formal provider change requires its own process. We keep the two distinct in every agreement and every report.

What does nationwide mean in practice?

We plan qualified employee and affiliated field capacity for the markets named in the agreement. Actual coverage depends on local availability, travel, credentials and program authorization, and we never imply automatic access to every rater in the country.

How do you identify recurring problems?

A common reporting framework compares test records, model assumptions, documentation gaps and corrective actions across communities. Technical review then separates a genuine pattern from a one-off site condition, so you act on the right thing.

What does the builder receive?

The scope can include the quality protocols we set together, findings, escalation records, corrective-action tracking and periodic trend reports. We define the evidence and the decisions each report should support before the first review takes place.
