Project incentives & designer support

The incentive follows the facts: who owns the building, who designed the systems and when construction began.

Designer incentives, utility rebates and research credits each depend on facts your project already has: who owns the building, who designed its systems and when construction began. Green Summit reviews eligible opportunities with the right owner, designer and tax-advisor participation, so no one counts on a benefit the records cannot support. We screen dates before anything else.

What we offer builders, contractors & design teams

  • Incentive & Utility Rebate Strategy

Find the federal, state, local and utility programs that fit the building and its actual energy needs, and coordinate them so an early equipment order does not forfeit a rebate.

  • New Jersey Energy Programs & Incentive Support

Building in New Jersey? Start here. We distinguish state programs, utility offerings, required reporting and legacy or prelaunch pathways, and define the technical support your project needs.

  • New Jersey New Construction Program Support

For energy-efficient new construction in New Jersey, we help your team evaluate the program pathway and coordinate the modeling, certification and verification the program requires.

  • R&D Tax-Credit Studies

If your firm's project work involves technical uncertainty and experimentation, we organize the research-credit study around those activities and the cost records that support them, working with your tax advisor.

  • Section 179D for Designers

If you are the architect, engineer or other potentially eligible designer of the energy-efficient systems on a qualifying tax-exempt-owned building, the owner may allocate the deduction to you. We bring the technical review, owner coordination and documentation together, and never assume that participation in construction alone establishes designer eligibility.

How we work with your team

  • Screen dates first.

Construction-start and placed-in-service records decide whether a 179D question is worth asking, so we check them before any modeling.

  • Bring the right parties in.

Owner, designer and tax advisor each have a role, and we organize the request, the review and the records so each decision is supported.

  • Keep the benefit honest.

A deduction is not automatically cash. We never present an incentive as a guaranteed return, and your tax advisor makes the filing decision.

Why Green Summit

Green Summit combines a licensed engineering firm with in-house CPAs, founded in 2014 as a consulting partner delivering end-to-end compliance solutions in specialty tax credits and incentives and building performance. Our leadership's 179D experience dates to 2007, before the firm was founded, and it shows in how we screen a designer's project: property facts and dates first, deduction second.

Let's talk about the incentives connected to your project.

Tell us your role on the project, the building and its owner, the location and when construction started or is expected to start.
